K. J. Joy, Amita Shah, Suhas Paranjape, Shrinivas Badiger and Sharachchandra Lele
(Forum for Watershed Research and Policy Dialogue, SOPPECOM-GIDR-CISED, 2006)

This occasional paper 'Reorienting the Watershed Development Programme in India ' is the first publication by the Forum for Watershed Research and Policy Dialogue. The Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, had recently set up a Technical Committee under the Chairmanship of Shri. A. Parthasarthi to review the watershed guidelines and programmes. This paper is based on the draft presented to the Committee on 26th July 2005 at a Consultative Meeting organised by the Forum in Pune which was later revised and submitted to the Committee in October 2005.
