The Lady Meherbai D. Tata Education Trust awards scholarships to Indian women graduates of recognised Indian universities to pursue higher education abroad. The Trust invites applications for the academic year 2011 – 2012 in the following fields of study:

Health Policy and Health Education

Rural Development Work (with a focus on women and children)

Communication for Development (with a focus on women’s issues)
Eligibility Requirements:
»
Indian women graduates from a recognised Indian university.
»
Have a consistently remarkable academic record.
»
Must have applied for admission / secured admission to universities or institutions in the United States, UK or Europe for the year
2011 – 2012.

Work experience in the requisite fields will be considered an added qualification.

Set up in 1919, a year after the untimely demise of Sir Ratan Tata at the age of 47, the Sir Ratan Tata Trust is one of the oldest philanthropic institutions in India.
