The Police Performance and Accountability Commission was constituted by the Government of Kerala to evaluate the general performance of the police during the years 2002 and 2003 to examine the effectiveness of the autonomy given to the police in recent times, its merits and demerits and to make recommendations for further improving the functioning and accountability of the police.
